I'm Parallax Group's "young Turk"-the web/IT/intranet guy. This is a small company, and there's little margin for error. At first, it was a bit daunting for Michele, a woman very squarely in her middle age, to trust key aspects of her business to a man young enough to be her son. But it's a new day-the world of e-commerce belongs, for the most part, to the young and the fast. To stay competitive, she knew she needed to bring in someone who could help Parallax Group provide better new media solutions. I was ready to step up.

I've been told that what I bring to the table is an amazing business maturity and a profound, innate ability to hold multiple frames-of-reference. I seem to have a built-in lens for approaching business problems from the buyer's perspective-not from the perspective of an "expert" solutions-provider. (So I've been told.)

I've worked with client organizations in the auto industry, television, networking, hospitality, fine arts, politics, and retail.

I design, produce, and manage e-business solutions. I see myself as an artist and a visionary-but I also realize that the businesses need me to be more; to be a consultant, an author of information architectures and criteria, a programmer, and someone who can provide complete e-solutions to knotty business problems. I can provide the necessary cosmetic adjustments, yes; but what I really like to do is help the heart pump. And that's what I do for our clients.
