Working People
Industrial laundry has got to be one of the most thankless jobs
imaginable. In the counting area, where the laundry comes in, rats
(both alive and dead) often tumble out with the restaurant linens.
Hospital linens . . . well, you can imagine. Its dirty work.
It's hot and steamy. And theres a distinct olfactory aura
about it.
Yet, throughout American Linen (recently renamed Ameripride) folks
stay at their posts for yearsoften for a lifetime. Why? Because
the company has always understood the essential nature of the workplace
as a second family. And because they understand this so well, the
founding family has been able to build an international business
while keeping everyone feeling like an integral part of the operation.
We produced an orientation video to tell the companys story,
and to convey the message that by joining American Linen, youve
joined something bigger than any one person. From the founder to
the most entry-level person on the counting-in floor, American Linen
employees told us their story, and presented a compelling picture
of a straight-forward, no nonsense, service company at work.
Other projects we produced with American Linen: Boiler Safety,
Driving Safety, Damaged Linen, Plant Tour, Product Quality.
